Hi! We’re Ashley and Beau, the wife and wife team
behind Storybook Finds. You'll often see us at our markets with our bunch, Hails, her partner Carlos & our boy Trav.

A & B have been together for 10 years,
and this little business is truly a family effort.
From hunting for treasures and preparing inventory
to setting up at markets and helping customers,
everyone plays an essential part.
 

Beau is an Army veteran who grew up on her families multifaceted farm in Southwest Michigan
as the third of four sisters, raised by truly loving parents
who have been married for 40 years.
She loves cooking, grilling and baking but crepes are her specialty. Beau absolutely adores their fur-babies
and fiercely loves her wife and kids, whom she has always referred to as “the children of her heart” since stepping 
into the role as their BEAUnous mom at the ages of  5 & 7.
Anyone who really knows Beau knows this gal
really loves to swing a hammer.
Steady, hardworking, and endlessly devoted to her family, Beau is truly Ashley’s rock and an equal heart behind
everything Storybook Finds has become.

Ashley, locally known as Ashley Dee,
is a photographer who has spent more than 15 years
serving local families through creative
experiences and meaningful memories.
She is a devoted wife and mom whose love extends fiercely
to her friends and the littles in her life.
She is also a passionate advocate for mental health,
chronic illness, and invisible illnesses.
A creative through and through,
Ashley loves to paint, draw, and find beauty
and possibility in things others might overlook.
Curating has always been her passion and
music is her truest love language.
When life allows, she is happiest soaking in a creek
or any fresh water she can find,
traveling with the people she loves, and
turning ordinary moments into stories worth remembering.

Storybook Finds is the chapter Ashley and Beau are writing together. Ashley brings the creative eye and a passion for curating, while Beau brings the steady hands, practical know how, and willingness to swing a hammer. Around here, they lovingly say Ashley is the curator and Beau is the brawn, but the truth is that every part of Storybook Finds carries both of their hearts. Together they find, restore, and rehome previously loved belongings so their stories can continue in the homes of new families.
 

And because every good story needs a plot twist:
jump scare alert! No, your eyes do not deceive you.
Ashley may be walking around at one market,
rolling through the next, and running the whole show
from a lawn chair after that. 😂

Ashley is a chronically ill baddie with a dynamic disability. AKA, sometimes she walks, sometimes she rolls. ♿️🌼 Depending on the day, you may see her using a cane,
a mobility device, or working from a chair while
her family keeps things moving.
Storybook Finds allows her to build something
meaningful alongside the people she loves
while honoring what her body needs.
 

Sustainability is at the heart
of everything Ashley and Beau do.
They are firm believers that perfectly usable clothing,
furniture, books, décor, and everyday treasures
deserve another chance before ever reaching a landfill.
By thrifting, accepting donations, and thoughtfully
rehoming each find, they help good things begin their
next chapter while keeping prices affordable for
the local families they love serving.
